Silver Jubilee of Ruhalaya College of Theology, Ujjain

National Symposium on

THEOLOGICAL FORMATION FOR MISSION

Re-thinking Theological Education in India

 [ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCE]

(July 13-14-15-16-17, 2022)

(2.30 – 4.00 pm; 6.00 – 8.00 pm)

“As seed beds of the Church’s Leadership, Seminaries shape the lives, hearts and minds of those who shape the Church”
Robert W. Ferris

The Concept of the Symposium

  1. Aims at understanding the twenty-first century challenges and opportunities of theological education.
  2. The current Catholic theological education, largely shaped by the Tridentine (1563) template of a seminary, is exceedingly intellectual-dogmatic-cultic.
  3. A meaningful participation in the creative, healing and saving work of the triune God calls for a mission-shaped theological formation.
  4. Organized in connection with the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Ruhalaya College of Theology (1997-2022), committed to forming dedicated missionaries.
